An exciting Job Opportunity currently exists for the following role in Athenry, Co. Galway.

Environmental Health and Safety Officer:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performing risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions and other safety training as required.
  • Develop procedures and policies.
  • Identify training needs and assist in the management of training records.
  • Maintaining the company’s ISO 14001 Standard in accordance with their IPPC Licence and Environmental Management System.
  • Internal EHS Audits to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation changes or developments and ensure compliance.
  • Carry out EHS inspections across the site.
  • Investigating accidents/ incidents.

Person Requirements

  • Third level Environmental or Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and IPPC Licencing.
  • Good communication skills and computer skills essential.
  • Experience in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated individual.
